In July we spent a few days in Amboise in the Loire Valley.  We went hot air ballooning, explored the town and the nearby Pagode de Chanteloup.

Pagode de Chanteloup

On the outskirts of Amboise is this pagoda, which was once part of an 18th century chateau.

The Pagode de Chanteloup Amboise

The Duke of Choiseul constructed this Chinese style monument as Chinese decorations were all the rage at the time and we climbed to the top to admire amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

You can even take a trip around the grounds in a rickshaw.

Meanwhile John decided to have a go at Chinese skittles.
