Take a tour around Ramsey town.
The town centre , Parliament Square.
Ramsey opened its new town hall in 2002
The library is in the same building,
Parliament Street leads off Parliament Square to the shops. and the police station, court house and post office which are around this little square. Just around the corner is the Market Square.
Market Square is where to find the pub and 'the action'. (for those who remember it used to be the Saddle Hotel)
which joins the harbour and the Irish Sea.
View of Ramsey and the harbour. You can see Albert's Tower overlooking the town.
At the harbour side
Looking up the Sulby River to the Stone Bridge
View of Ramsey harbour and the Swing Bridge
the Swing Bridge swings to let the tall boats pass into the harbour.
and sail out to sea
View of Bride and The Dog Mills where I used to live. The tide begins to turn as the sun sets over the north of the Island.
I
hope you enjoyed this mini tour around "Ramsey
town shining by the sea".
